Chicken Tikka Masala (Slow Cooker Club Exclusive)

Ingredients

  • 650g chicken thighs 
  • 1 large onion 
  • 1 red chilli (add more if you like the heat) 
  • 1 tbsp minced ginger 
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic 
  • 1 tbsp ground coriander 
  • 5 cardamom pods 
  • 1 tsp cumin 
  • 1 tsp turmeric 
  • 1 tsp sugar 
  • 1 tbsp tomato puree 
  • 400g chopped tomatoes 
  • 3 tbsp chicken tikka masala paste
  • 3 tbsp creme fraiche 

Garnish

  • 1-2 tbsp coriander

Method

  1. Add all the ingredients to the slow cooker, season well give it a good mix then cook for 3 hours on high or 5-6 hours on low.
  2. 20 minutes before serving add the creme fraiche and you’re ready to tuck in. 
  3. Serve with fluffy rice, naan bread and ice cold beer and enjoy.
