Slow Cooker Chinese Braised Beef (Slow Cooker Club Exclusive)

Ingredients

  • 400g diced beef
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 tbsp minced ginger
  • 1 red chilli chopped 
  • 5 tbsp soy sauce
  • 100ml beef stock
  • 1 tsp five spice 
  • 50g brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp Sriracha sauce 
  • 2 tbsp cornflour mixed with 2 tbsp water 

Method

  1. On a medium heat add the diced beef to a pan and sear off until lightly brown then set aside. 
  2. Add the seared beef and the rest of the ingredients to the slow cooker, stir until combined season well with salt and pepper then cook on high for 2 hours or on low for 4-5 hours.
  3. 30 minutes before serving, mix 2 tbsp of cornflour with 2 tbsp of water and stir into the beef mixture to thicken the sauce. Serve with fluffy white rice and garnish with fresh coriander.
