Air Fryer Crispy Honey Sesame Chicken Recipe

Ingredients


For the Chicken:

  • 2 chicken breasts, diced

  • 3 tbsp plain flour

  • 1 egg, whisked

  • 100 g cornflakes, crushed

  • Salt & pepper, to taste

For the Sauce / Marinade:

  • 1 tbsp minced garlic

  • 1 tbsp minced ginger

  • 1 tbsp honey

  • 1 tbsp sweet chilli sauce

  • 2 tbsp ketchup

  • 1 tbsp rice wine vinegar

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce

To Serve:

  • 1 packet Tilda sticky white rice (125 g pouch)

  • 1–2 spring onions, chopped

  • 1 tsp sesame seeds

Instructions

  • Coat the chicken.
    Lightly season diced chicken. Dredge in flour, dip in whisked egg, then roll in crushed cornflakes until evenly coated.

  • Air-fry until crispy.
    Cook at 200 °C for 12 minutes, turning halfway, until golden and crisp.

  • Make the sauce.
    While chicken cooks, combine all sauce ingredients in a small pan. Simmer over medium heat for 5 minutes until thick and glossy.

  • Combine.
    Toss the crispy chicken into the warm sauce until fully coated.

  • Serve.
    Spoon over hot sticky rice, garnish with sesame seeds and chopped spring onions, and enjoy immediately.
