Slow Cooker Chicken Tikka Masala Recipe

This is my lighter version of the Indian Classic Chicken Tikka Masala, my slow cooker version literally melts in your mouth and tastes delicious, half the calories of a normal takeout version this one truly is a must try, let’s go:
Ingredients:
- 650g chicken breast
- 1 large onion
- 1 red chilli (add more if you like the heat)
- 1 tbsp minced ginger
- 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 1 tbsp ground coriander
- 5 cardamom pods
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tbsp tomato puree
- 400g chopped tomatoes
- 3 tbsp chicken tikka masala paste (I used @jamieolivers paste)
- 3 tbsp creme fraiche
- 1-2 tbsp coriander for garnish
Method:
- Add all the ingredients to the slow cooker, season well give it a good mix then cook for 3 hours on high or 5-6 hours on low, 20 minutes before serving add the creme fresh and you’re ready to tuck in.
- Serve with fluffy rice, naan bread and ice cold beer, enjoy.
