Nando’s Peri Peri Chicken Wrap

Serves 2  493 Calories | 53.7g Protein per Wrap

 

This is my go to high protein lunch my Nando’s peri peri chicken wrap, under 500 calories and over 50g protein this recipe is quick easy and great for meal prep. Let me show you how to make it:   

 

Ingredients: 

300g chicken thighs boneless and skinless 

1 small onion chopped  

1 tbsp garlic minced  

2 tbsp Nando’s Peri-Peri seasoning mix (or any peri-peri seasoning as a substitute)  

2 tbsp Nando’s Peri-Peri marinade 

2 high-protein wraps

40g lighter soft cheese

2 handfuls mixed salad

1 tbsp Perinaise mayonnaise


Method:

- Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat. Add the chopped onion, minced garlic, and chicken thighs to the pan. Season well with salt and pepper, then sprinkle over the peri-peri seasoning. Cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is fully cooked and golden brown.  

 - Lower the heat and stir in the lighter soft cheese and peri-peri marinade. Mix until everything is well combined and coated in the creamy, spicy sauce.  

- Lay the wrap flat and add a generous handful of mixed salad. Spoon the chicken mixture on top and drizzle with perinaise-style mayonnaise.  

- Fold the sides of the wrap inward, then roll it up tightly as shown in the video.  

   - Enjoy fresh, or for extra flavor and texture, toast the wrap in a hot pan for 30 seconds on each side until golden and crisp. Tuck in and enjoy!
