Delicious Air Fryer Chicken Parmesan Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 chicken breast

  • 2 tbsp tomato sauce

  • 30g lighter mozzarella cheese

  • 30g panko breadcrumbs

  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

  • 1 egg, beaten

  • 100g plain flour

Instructions

1. Prepare the coating stations
Add the flour (mixed with Italian seasoning), beaten egg and panko breadcrumbs into three separate bowls.

2. Coat the chicken
Dip the chicken breast into the flour, then the egg, then the breadcrumbs until fully coated.

3. Air fry
Place the chicken in the air fryer at 200°C for 20 minutes until golden and cooked through.

4. Add toppings
Remove the chicken, spoon over the tomato sauce, add mozzarella and a sprinkle of parmesan if using.

5. Finish cooking
Return to the air fryer for 5 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbling.

6. Serve
Garnish with fresh basil and a drizzle of olive oil.
