Slow Cooker Sticky Teriyaki Beef
Serves 4 345 calories | 31.5g protein per serving
The fakeaway dish you never knew you needed — my slow cooker teriyaki beef. The perfect healthy midweek dinner that rivals any takeout version but with half the calories.
Ingredients:
• 600g beef diced
• 1 onion
• 1 tbsp minced garlic
• 1 red chilli
• 2 bell peppers
• 1 tbsp five spice
• 4 tbsp teriyaki sauce
• 2 tbsp soy sauce
• 50 ml water mixed with 1 tbsp cornflour
Method:
• Brown the beef with 1 tbsp cornflour (optional, but I find it adds another layer of flavour)
• Add to the slow cooker along with the rest of the ingredients, except the cornflour mixture. Season well with salt and pepper.
• Cook on high for 3 hours or low for 6 hours.
• 30 mins before serving, stir in the cornflour mixture. Garnish with sesame seeds and coriander. Serve with noodles or fluffy rice. Enjoy!
